Congratulations to NTPA Senior Director of Marketing, Lauren Boykin, for being selected by the Public Relations Society of America Dallas Chapter as a Top Young Professional in Marketing, Communications and Media. Lauren was chosen for the inaugural “40 Under 40” award for making an extraordinary impact on businesses, communities and the industry through her work at NTPA and other non-profits in the Dallas area.

“I’m inspired by the talent and leadership of the public relations practitioners selected,” says Pamela Thompson, APR, president of the PRSA Dallas chapter. “The 40 Under 40 consist of strategic communications who stand out among their peers, uplift our industry and passionately serve the greater Dallas area. I look forward to seeing what they will achieve the next 40 years.”

Lauren Boykin has been working in non-profit marketing for over a decade workings for school districts, counseling centers, and performing arts venues that serve youth throughout Texas and Arkansas. Lauren has been serving North Texas Performing Arts for five years where she serves as the Senior Director of Marketing.

She is a dedicated team player, and her work can be seen throughout our theatre, not just within the marketing office. Lauren oversees our box office, which runs completely on volunteer support and manages sales and customer service for up to 8 productions a week. She works hand-in-hand with event committees, the development department, and the managers of each theatre to provide insight and assistance for campaigns throughout the year.

She is passionate about making each piece fo marketing accurate, meaningful, and artistic. What makes her stand out as a true leader, though, is not just her well-designed advertisements or her eloquently worded copy, but it is the character she brings to her work. She is a model for integrity, compassion and kindness professionally and personally. At NTPA, we talk a lot about our “10 Characters,” the characteristics that we strive to teach every student who comes through our theatre. Lauren exemplifies each of these characteristics on a daily basis and is a true model to the staff, volunteers, and student she works with in our theatre.
