This exciting new program provides the opportunity for students to:

★ Perform on camera in a real film production!

★ Watch yourself in a premiere showing on the “big screen!”

On-screen acting roles and off-screen production roles available!

This fun and exciting film-creation experience for grades 5-12 is perfect for all skill levels wanting to experience the art of filmmaking. Students will have access to equipment, training, and mentorship from film industry professionals in a fun and fast-paced film production experience.

Each film will be performed and produced by NTPA students and directed by industry professionals, and the final film will be screened in a Premiere Showing for a public audience at the conclusion of the production providing a resume-ready film project that will show depth to any college or future employer.

Meet the Team

Greg McKnight
Senior Technical Director

Greg will be serving as Executive Producer for the upcoming NTPA Studios films and will lead the Technical Theatre Labs for each production.

Gregory has been working in film and video production for over 20 years and is a seasoned theater technician, having worked in multiple venues across DFW over the past two decades. He currently serves as the Senior Technical Director at NTPA where he leads all technical theatre programs across NTPA and teaches technical theatre classes in The Conservatory at NTPA Academy.

Since joining the NTPA team in 2017, Greg has served as a director and music director for many shows and has written several original scripts that have premiered on NTPA stages including fan-favorites “The Adventure of BetaKid” and “The Adventure of GammaKid.” Greg has been a musician since the age of 7 and has played piano professionally for over a decade.

Tammara Wright
Assistant Technical Director and Adjunct Director

Tammara is serving as the Creative Director for upcoming NTPA Studios films and will lead the Acting Sessions for each production.

Tammara has been teaching Acting, Directing, Singing, and Audition Preparation for many years. She relocated to Texas in 2014 after having lived and performed all over the United States. Tammara has 30+ years of professional experience in Theatre, Radio, Television and Film; as an Actor, Director, Producer and Singer.

Tammara’s Training includes: a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Theatre from Western Michigan University, as well as, an Associate’s of Fine Arts Degree from Bay de Noc College, and over 12 years of private training in Vocal Performance for Soprano in Classical/Opera and Musical Theatre. She also has specialized training in: Audition Preparation for Stage & Camera, Creating Characters using Voice &  Movement, Voice-overs and Narration, Lighting and Sound as a Character, and Script Analysis. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and has an FCC-Commercial License.
