Announcing NTPA Dallas Managing Director – Cheryl Lowber

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Cheryl Lowber to NTPA Dallas Managing Director!

Cheryl is a professional actor, director, and acting coach as well as an experienced UIL One Act Play adjudicator at both the Middle School and High School levels. She joined the NTPA creative team in 2018, and became a full time Resident Director in 2019. In addition to directing some of NTPA’s biggest shows and teaching advanced acting classes in the NTPA Academy, Cheryl has also served as the Head of Acting for the NTPA – Academy, coordinating and overseeing the full sequence of acting curriculum for Academy students. She also leads the Annual NTPA Invitational Theatre and Speech Tournament for middle schoolers.

Cheryl holds a B.A. in Theatre from Oklahoma Baptist University and an M.F.A. in Acting from Southern Methodist University, where she taught undergraduate courses in “The Art of Acting.” Cheryl has appeared onstage at numerous venues in DFW, New York City, and as far away as South Korea. 

Cheryl will work closely with the NTPA staff and NTPA – Dallas Management Board to continue to build upon NTPA’s success in Dallas and expand its impact across this region.
