In addition to Scrooge, you’ll get tickets to the award-winning NTPA Repertory theatre’s productions of two fabulously stylized comedies. The jukebox homage to 70’s disaster films, Disaster!, features some of the most unforgettable songs of the ’70s including “Knock on Wood,” “Hooked on a Feeling,” “Sky High,” “I Am Woman” and “Hot Stuff.” And the dystopian satire, Urinetown the Musical, is a hilarious musical caricature of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, municipal politics and musical theatre itself!

*Only available for Willow Bend Scrooge performances.

11th Anniversary of an NTPA Christmas Celebration Tradition!

This Plano Christmas Tradition features a fast-paced and fun full-length live musical production, Pre-show Christmas Carols, and MORE!

North Texas Performing Arts Community Theatre proudly announces its Christmas Tradition “Scrooge, The Musical,” a show by award-winning songwriter, Leslie Bricusse, creator of the musical versions of “Jekyll & Hyde” and “Willy Wonka”. Receiving four Academy Award nominations and five Golden Globe nominations in its movie version, “Scrooge” closely follows the plot of Charles Dickens’ acclaimed book, A Christmas Carol.

This wonderful Plano Christmas Tradition now in its 11th BIG YEAR has been critically acclaimed and plays to sell-out crowds. The Dallas Morning News called the production “brilliant … robust and passionate” and it regularly tops Plano Profile’s “Must See” event for the Christmas Season.

Ebeneezer Scrooge has spent all his life accruing gold and allowing all his loved ones to slip through his hands. On Christmas Eve 1843, Scrooge is given the gift of one more chance to redeem himself for mankind and for his soul. The musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol reminds us to love one another and to hold each other close!
