Do your students love building, crafting, or discovering how things really work behind the curtain? Then welcome to Set It and Tech It — a week-long summer camp where kids become the creative force behind the magic of theater. Campers will explore scenic design, prop building, lighting effects, costuming, and practical stage technology through immersive, hands-on projects every day.
Each day brings a new project: crafting a flickering lantern with LED lights, building EVA foam armor, foam carving scenic props, wiring DC motors to create motion-based effects, and more! Campers will learn industry techniques in a fun and supportive environment led by a seasoned scenic designer and immersive theater director.
By the end of the week, students will showcase their work in a gallery-style exhibit for friends and family to explore — celebrating their creativity, imagination, and technical skills. Whether they’re future designers, makers, engineers, or monster builders, this camp is the perfect launchpad into the exciting world of theater tech.
Camp Requirements: Closed-toe shoes, clothes that can get paint or stains on them, and long hair pulled back
