Step into the world of the Academy and experience classes that are only available to our current Academy certification students. Learn from DFW’s best theatre educators in this free program which allows parents and students to try up to 2 weeks of Academy classes completely free of charge.
The North Texas Performing Arts – Academy offers a high quality and challenging educational experience in a supportive learning environment to youth with a passion for the performing arts. Now offering six performing arts certifications, the Conservatory provides a powerful option to traditional public school, private school, and home-school alternatives, preparing for the collegiate and professional world through a rigorous and comprehensive educational and experiential learning model.
The Academy Experience will be held April 12-15 for grades 8-12, April 26-29 for grades 4-8 at NTPA’s Willow Bend Center of the Arts, as well as May 3-6 and May 10-13 at our Fairview Youth Theatre location. We are excited to announce that the NTPA – Academy is coming permanently to NTPA – Fairview this coming fall with a full set of classes offered.
Classes offered at the NTPA Academy Experience will vary with Acting and Dance Classes, Stage Combat, Film and Television and more! The daily schedule will include a full day’s experience with an Academy Core Flex study time in the morning, and a different workshop style classes offered every afternoon. Students may sign up for the full day or just the afternoon classes and can sign up for as few as 2 classes up to two full weeks.
