As North Texas Performing Arts continues to grow and expand to fulfill its mission to develop the character of youth through performing arts education and quality entertainment, we rely upon a dedicated staff of professionals to support the programs that “develop characters” of over 6,000 youth each year.

The past year and a half have been some of the most challenging in NTPA’s history, as the theatres were shut down completely, pivoted to online learning, managed continually changing safety protocols and best practices for reopening, and faced unprecedented losses due to closures, cancelations, postponements and social distancing guidelines.

Patricia Gregory joined the NTPA staff as Development Director just before the pandemic hit. Within days of her arrival, fundraising became more important than ever to the survival of NTPA during this trying time. Patricia quickly adapted and developed a fundraising plan that allowed NTPA to reopen its doors and bridge the gap of losses created by Covid-related closures and postponements.

Before joining NTPA, Patricia served as the Director of Development for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at UNT, and has served on the development staffs of the Collin College Foundation, Dallas Theatre Center, and other nonprofits across Louisiana and Texas. Patricia holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She has a background in the performing arts and studied Shakespeare at Oxford University in England. She spent time throughout college performing with a professional theater troupe, The Company Repertory Theatre, and teaching high school students about William Shakespeare through The Company’s “Shakespeare in the Schools” program.

Over the past 18 months, Patricia has increased grant funding, developed a secure and streamlined promotions strategy for NTPA shows, implemented a new donor management software that enables better tracking and growth of fundraising over time, and executed a series of special events celebrating NTPA’s 30th Anniversary. Through her efforts, NTPA’s Covid Recovery Fundraising Campaign exceeded efforts by more than 30% reaching a total of just over $445,000.

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Patricia Gregory to Senior Development Director.

Patricia will continue to grow development efforts across all NTPA theatres including NTPA’s newest location in Southlake. She will work closely with each troupe management board to establish annual fundraising goals and engage local donors. She will develop strategic programs to increase grant funding, build comprehensive capital campaign initiatives, and increase awareness of corporate donor opportunities.

Congratulations to Patricia Gregory!
