Classes are a great way to hone your performing arts skills in a supportive and educational environment with like-minded students. Whether you’re trying out the performing arts for the first time or looking to improve your skills for your next audition, there is a class for you!

Elementary Production – Grades K-2 and 3-5 – $249
Under the direction of a teaching artist, the students will create a short scene involving characters from the assigned theme, with each actor having a similar amount of lines. The students will also learn an age appropriate movement piece to be performed at the showcase. Each class will focus on one of NTPA ten characters that can be tied in with the curriculum using theatrical games or activities. On the final day of the classes, the students will perform the scene with minimal homemade costumes and props during the final class.

Act it Out! Grades 3-7 & 5-9 – $249
This class is aimed to help students prepare for roles in an upcoming production or develop skills that will benefit them for years to come. The class focuses on steps to break down a script, build a character, and bring authenticity to performances. Through script analysis techniques, practicing physical and vocal exercise for a strong performance, and learning various acting techniques, the students will dive deeper into their character’s world and deliver a compelling performance. The students will demonstrate their skills with a short production at the end of the class.

Get ready for nonstop laughs and creative fun in our youth improv class! Through a mix of engaging short-form games and comedy concepts, the students will learn to listen, collaborate, and create stories on the fly in a supportive group environment. The students will also learn about many different types of improv games-guessing, time-based, and possibly even singprovising games (or musical based).The class ends with a short show for family and friends!

Musical Theatre 1 – Grades 3-7 – $249
SOUTHLAKE ONLY
Students learn songs and stage choreography featuring songs from musicals and movies, plus short spoken intro-scenes to set up each number. Singing and vocal technique with warm-ups and intonation, reading musical scores and memorizing their “part” are included. Learn spoken dialogue, acting, dance choreography, and singing.

No script? No problem! Join us for a dynamic comedy course where students learn to build hilarious, full-length improvised shows. From creating memorable characters to weaving complex storylines, this class teaches the fundamentals of scene work, active listening, and comedic timing. Perfect for both theater enthusiasts and beginners looking to boost their confidence and have fun!
