Meet the Artist

Jennifer Seibert is a painter living and working in Allen, TX. She holds a Master of Fine Arts & Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Arts with a concentration in painting and drawing.

Jennifer’s paintings are inspired by change. She is intrigued by how quickly memories shift, thoughts alter, how an instance can rework itself in our memory. She is inspired by how impossible it is to capture a moment. By layering subtle colors, rich value ranges, and complex marks she attempts to capture something fleeting with the chance of catching the ephemeral.

She was a tenured Professor of Art at Eastern Michigan University before returning to Texas to raise her family. She is currently a Full-Time Professor of Art in Plano, TX teaching Painting, Drawing, and 2-D Design. Her work resides in over 200 private collections, has won multiple awards, and has been exhibited widely nationally and abroad. Jennifer’s work has been featured in exhibitions by the curator of Exhibitions from the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, the curator of Modern and Contemporary Fine Art with the Heritage Auction House, Post Contemporary Residency in Troy, New York, ICA Residency in Monto Castello de Vibio, Italy, and many other exhibitions both nationally and abroad. She has won awards from nationally recognized jurors, from the producers of PBS, the 48-hour film festival critics, and has been awarded competitive grants and sabbaticals to attend residencies home and abroad in Greece, Italy, and France, all while showing nationally and internationally with her paintings, drawings, videos, and installations. She is the owner and lead creator for her small business, Seibert Studios, creating commission works to help others remember their ephemeral moments. With Seibert Studios she has had multiple exhibitions, pop up shows, and participated in over 20 styled photo shoots resulting in the publication of her work in over 20 online journals and 4 industry print magazines all while creating over 600 commission works in the last three years. This last year she has become the co-founder of Chloe Mae Studios, a boutique art gallery in Allen, TX.

The Neiman Marcus Welcome Center inside Willow Bend Center of the Arts is available for artists exhibits and is an initiative of NTPA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

North Texas Performing Arts is committed to acknowledging diversity and promoting equity and inclusion in all programs.
