Dick and Kay Anthony began serving NTPA as founding Board Members of Plano Children’s Theatre in 1991, and they are proud to continue their service through NTPA’s Arts Advisory Board. Dick has had an extensive career in finance and insurance, while Kay worked as a homemaker. Together they have 5 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dick and Kay live in McKinney, TX. They enjoy traveling and helping in various charitable organizations.
Joa has lived in Plano for 38 years. She is married and has 3 kids, 2 son-in-laws, a daughter-in-law and 7 grandchildren. Joa was first introduced to North Texas Performing Arts when her daughter, Whitney, auditioned for The Wizard of OZ many years ago! Joa became a community volunteer as soon as she moved to Plano. She is a past President of the Junior League of Collin County, Past PTA President and Past President of Women’s Auxiliary of Children’s Medical Plano. Joa has served on many community non-profit boards. She now serves on the Staging Future Endowment Campaign Committee for the Plano ISD’s Robinson Fine Arts Center.
In 2014 Jennifer Shertzer and her husband, Luke, founded Plano Magazine. As editor, Jennifer’s role included curating content that would reflect her city’s diverse and vibrant community. She currently sits on the Leadership Plano advisory board as an alumna of Class 36, and graduated from the Plano Citizens Academy in 2017. She is on the board of directors for MPact benefiting My Possibilities. In 2017 Jennifer’s work helped Plano Magazine win the Texas Downtown Association President’s Award for Best Downtown Partner. In 2019 she won the Rising Star Award from the Plano Chamber of Commerce. Jennifer enjoys volunteering alongside her family with organizations including Girl Scouts, Young Mens Service League, The Heritage Farmstead Museum, Plano West Rotary Club and many more.
Dr. John Stefano retired in 2016 after serving 24 years as Chair of Theatre and Dance at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. He began teaching at Southern Methodist University in 1975—where Sara Akers was a student in his freshman acting class–and continued his academic career at Emporia State University in Kansas and Illinois State University. He was active in the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, serving as respondent, Festival Host and Regional Chair, and was awarded the KC-ACTF Gold Medallion Award of Excellence. During his 47-year teaching career, he directed over fifty productions, including Threepenny Opera at SMU. Dr. Stefano is known nationwide as an innovative recruiter and mentored the founders of Acceptd, the audition platform now used by hundreds of theatre programs around the world.
Beth is a graduate of Plano Schools and has served in various capacities from PTA President to President of the Plano ISD Education Foundation, and is the newest member of the Foundation’s Board of Honor. She is a long standing member of the Junior League of Collin County serving in many leadership roles including President. Additional volunteer work includes the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano (Past President), City of Plano Parks & Recreation Planning Board (Past Chair), National Charity League Plano (Past President), Sci-Tech Discovery Center Advisory Board (Past Chair), Plano Symphony Orchestra, and Plano Arts Centre. Beth is a graduate of Leadership Plano, has been recognized as a Volunteer of the Year, Children’s Advocacy Center Mentor, a Top Ten Woman of Collin County, an Each Moment Matters Award Winner and is a member of the 2010 Class of 21 Leaders for the 21st Century. Beth and her husband, Collin County Commissioner Duncan Webb, have two daughters and a son-in-law. The Webb family was honored as 1997 Plano Family of the Year and in 2008 Beth and Duncan were named Plano’s Citizens of the Year by the Plano Chamber of Commerce.
Pamela Zeigler-Petty is a banker with over 23 years of experience in financial services. She is deeply involved in Collin County, both professionally by helping small businesses and communities succeed, and personally through involvement with numerous organizations, including the Plano Chamber of Commerce, ArtsCentre of Plano, Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, North Texas Performing Arts, Junior League of Collin County, Plano ISD, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and Business Council for the Arts. She is extremely passionate about the intersection of business, the arts, and communities of color. She is a resident of Plano, Texas and enjoys spending time with her family and dog, Jac.
