Meet the Artist

Dan Reyna is an artist who was born in San Angelo, TX in April of 1972. He attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, and currently lives in Tuttle, OK with his husband, Robert. A self-taught artist, Dan took up painting late in life, after a trip to Art Basel Miami Beach. He has since exhibited at the Spectrum Miami Art Fair, Poverello Center’s Art With A Heart Fundraiser, the Wilton Manors Art Expo in Wilton Manors, FL, Edmond Art Walk in Edmond, OK and the Norman Art Walk, in Norman, OK. Dan’s approach to painting starts with a unique eye for color. Dan utilizes both complimentary and contrasting colors in his works. His original abstract expressionist works are usually bright and upbeat, internally charged and emotionally driven. With inspirations from nature, architecture, and modernism. Dan’s artwork possesses layered depth, broad strokes, all over composition with varying focus points. The paintings are meant to elicit a sense of pleasure, exuberance and well-being. Dan Reyna can be reached at danreynaartist@gmail.com and/or https://danreynaartist.net.

The Neiman Marcus Welcome Center inside Willow Bend Center of the Arts is available for artists exhibits and is an initiative of NTPA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

North Texas Performing Arts is committed to acknowledging diversity and promoting equity and inclusion in all programs. The NTPA Governing Board of Directors, Management Boards, and NTPA Staff strive to create performing art spaces that are positive, safe and inclusive regardless of one’s race, creed, gender, religion, orientation, communication differences or abilities. We encourage our families and patrons to exhibit our “Ten Characters” taught at NTPA including integrity, leadership, respect, and more importantly, to love one another.
