North Texas Performing Arts is proud to announce the promotion of Samantha Reser to the role of Resident Director.
Samantha joined the NTPA family in 2022 as a director and quickly took on management of the NTPA UpSTARt program. She has directed dozens of successful classes and camps at NTPA in addition to her work on productions such as Willy Wonka JR in Southlake and Fiddler on the Roof JR in Plano.
During her time at NTPA, she has been a passionate advocate of NTPA programs and has increased the effectiveness of UpSTARt workshops by more than 10% over the last 6 months. Samantha advocates for creating theatre that is accessible to all youth and continually models and teaches our 10th Character “Love One Another” through fundamental acting techniques and creative play.
Samantha brings a wealth of experience and education to NTPA. She received her BFA in Theatre for Young Audiences with a minor in Directing from Oklahoma City University, and completed her Masters in Theatre for Young Audiences at the University of Central Florida. Her favorite directing credits include James and the Giant Peach JR, Peter Pan Jr, Beauty and the Beast Jr, Stargirl, Passage, and “It’s Okay” and “Guns in Dragonland” for the #ENOUGH project.
In addition to directing, Samantha will serve as NTPA Director of Student Recruitment, focusing on sharing NTPA’s programs with new families and communities throughout North Texas.
