Bonnie Grugle – Adjunct Choreographer

Bonnie Algar Grugle is a Dallas-based choreographer, dancer, actor, and classically-trained soprano. She has performed in more than 30 productions, including several productions with NTPA as well as Uptown Players, Watertower Theatre, Garland Civic Theatre, and Unity Players. Her favorite choreography projects include “Guys and Dolls, Jr” “South Pacific” “Nunsense” “A Grand Night for Singing” and “Anything Goes” with NTPA and Unity Players. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Dallas Make-a-Wish Foundation, the Dallas Hip Hop Festival, and others. She began studying dance at age three and maintains a primary focus on ballet, tap, and jazz with an emphasis on musical theater performance. She has worked with and under renowned instructors Mary Six Rupert, Melva Smith, and Paula Moreland. Supplemental training and teachings include hip-hop, Bollywood, and burlesque.

Through her teaching, she instills in her students that dance should be fun and led with the heart, a notion imparted to her at a young age. Her unique appreciation for and understanding of how music, story, and movement flow seamlessly together ensures her students embody the art of dance and become well-rounded, versatile performers.

She is a proud adjunct faculty member at the NTPA Academy. She resides in Richardson with her husband and fellow performer, Tom Grugle.
