Phil Hardy – Set Build Administrator, Team Lead

Philip Hardy is an original member of the T-25 Set Build Committee and is now a T-25 Set Build Core Member with a Master level status. Philip has been building since he was a young boy where he would work with his dad doing jobs around the house and other side jobs on the weekend. His love of building took off in high school when he took his first shop class. He continued this into his teen and young adult life helping his dad build an addition to his parent’s house from the ground up. Phil came to the NTPA in 2018 when his daughter, Abigail joined the NTPA’s inaugural Academy class. Before that, he spent three years assisting in building sets with the Acting Studio. Phil has served in many voluntary roles with the NTPA including NTPA Academy Board member, NTPA Academy Events Chair, show promotions coordinator, show playbill coordinator, show concessions volunteer, set build coordinator, and backstage volunteer. Phil has won multiple set build awards including Set Design of the Year for Newsies. His favorite designs include Newsies, Into the Woods, and Adams Family. Phil’s entire family is part of the NTPA family with his wife Deborah doing several Community shows, their daughter Abigail graduated in 2022 from the NPTA Academy, and their son Austin is currently attending the NTPA Academy. While not at the NTPA, Phil has been a Sr. Wholesale Account Manager for Lumen for 25 years, Phil is an Independent Travel Agent with Magical Tripcations, specializing in group and family vacations to Disney, Universal, Royal Caribbean, Princes Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Caribbean resorts. He also enjoys home renovation projects, golf, and travel, and is the video coordinator for his Church.
