As North Texas Performing Arts continues to grow and expand to fulfill its mission to develop the character of youth through performing arts education and quality entertainment and bring “Broadway to the ‘Burbs” with our adult Repertory and Community Theatre program, our marketing strategy and execution is critical to our success.
It is my honor to announce the promotion of Lauren Boykin to the role of NTPA Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
Lauren has been a tremendous difference-maker since joining the NTPA team. During the Covid months, I have turned to Lauren almost daily for her input and guidance, and the praise and positive feedback we’ve received for our communications and response strategy during this period are entirely a result of her tireless efforts.
Lauren has led NTPA’s marketing strategy and execution for five years, successfully directing the rebranding of the North Texas Performing Arts name, and directed critical rollouts including the Starcatchers, Fairview, Frisco, and Dallas facilities and the move to the Willow Bend Center of the Arts. She also drove the development of messaging for exciting new launches including UpSTARt, Collegiate Pursuits, the NTPA Community Theatre, and more, and through her efforts, NTPA has become a well-known and respected brand across North Texas.
Through the Covid months, Lauren has been instrumental in crafting NTPA’s messaging and position, and led her team to delivering effective Covid-19 safety updates and protocols to NTPA families and patrons. Lauren co-designed with NTPA’s ticketing provider a method of automating NTPA’s “safe social distance” policy for performance audiences, creating unique SSD seating templates for every NTPA venue. Lauren was also a leader on the NTPA Covid-19 Task Force, offering critical guidance and insights to public communications expectations.
Lauren has worked in nonprofit and educational marketing for over a decade. She received her BA in Electronic Media Production from Harding University, and has served as the Marketing Director for multiple schools, theatres, and counseling centers across Arkansas and Texas. In 2014, Lauren was selected for the National School Public Relations Association’s “35 Under 35” list of top school marketing professionals in the nation, and in 2021 she was recognized by the Public Relations Society of America Dallas Chapter’s inaugural “40 Under 40” list of top marketing professionals in DFW.
Lauren will continue to lead the NTPA Marketing team in addition to overseeing sales related activities including the NTPA store and t-shirts, costume closet and rentals, and ticketing and box office sales. Lauren will work to increase new student acquisition in the Academy and afterschool programs, launch new theatre locations across DFW including the new Southlake location, and increase awareness of the NTPA Repertory theatre. She will work with NTPA staff to increase sales revenues across NTPA activities and will also work closely with the Development team to increase business advertising and build partnerships with local brands.
Please join me in congratulating our new Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Lauren Boykin.
