Introducing the NTPA Photo ID Security Badge

We want to make every effort to provide the most safe and secure environment for our students. In an effort to continue improving our safety and security, NTPA will be issuing Photo ID Security Badges to our wonderful volunteers, so they can be assured access to NTPA facilities as required.

All volunteers that may be working in the proximity of a minor under the age of 18 or in positions where they will be handling cash or credit card transactions will be required to display an NTPA authorized photo identification security badge.

Who needs an NTPA Photo ID Security Badge?

Any Volunteer who may be working in the proximity of a child under the age of 18 or will be handling cash or credit card transactions will be expected to display an NTPA Photo ID Security Badge. The following Volunteer Positions will be REQUIRED to display this badge:

  • Show Managers
  • House Managers
  • Volunteer Coordinators
  • Booth Operators
  • Backstage Parents
  • Promotions Coordinators
  • Ticket Coodinators
  • Concessions Booth Volunteers

All Volunteers who plan to work onsite at NTPA are encouraged to acquire an NTPA photo ID Security Badge.  On-duty NTPA Board Members and Staff at NTPA premises are required to display an NTPA Photo ID.

Two-Year Security Badge

  • Full-color badge printed on high-quality PVC 
  • Valid for two years
  • Comes with either a lanyard or badge clothing clip
  • Purchase & replacement fee of $15.00 (free for NTPA Board Members).

How do I get my NTPA Security Badge?

Getting your NTPA Security Badge is easy and all online, though CAN TAKE AS LONG AS FOUR WEEKS!  

To get your Two-Year Security Badge

  1. Select the “Two Year Security Badge” button below.
  2. Complete the application form and pay the $15 fee. 
  3. Upon payment, your email confirmation will contain a link to upload your photo and complete the third party background check. 
  4. Upload your photo and a picture of your photo ID, complete the Confidential Background Check, and click Submit.
  5. Your Security Badge will be given to your show director and distributed during tech week.

NO INDIVIDUAL WILL BE ALLOWED TO WORK IN THE PROXIMITY OF A MINOR UNDER THE AGE OF 18 OR IN POSITIONS WHERE THEY WILL BE HANDLING CASH OR CREDIT CARD WITHOUT DISPLAYING AN NTPA AUTHORIZED PHOTO IDENTIFICATION SECURITY BADGE.  IF SUCH AN INDIVIDUAL IS IDENTIFIED, THAT INDIVIDUAL SHOULD BE REPORTED TO NTPA AUTHORITIES AND REMOVED FROM ANY NON-PUBLIC AREA.

The provision of an NTPA Security Badge does not guarantee any specific volunteer positions or grant any other special entitlements other than enabling the badge-holder to be considered for volunteer roles.  This does not entitle the bearer to access any non-public area of an NTPA facility without express authorization. This card is non-transferable. NTPA reserves the right to deny, discontinue or confiscate any ID badge issued at the sole determination of the North Texas Performing Arts.
